Challenge Asia Pacific 2018

Luke McKenzie from Australia and Radka Vodickva from the Czech Republic were the respective winners in the men’s and women’s races at the Challenge Taiwan triathlon that was held in Taitung on Nov. 17. The organization invited competitors from around the world to compete, and over 700 athletes participated.

Because of the good topography, Challenge Taiwan has held triathlon competitions in Taitung many times.


“We are all excited to see who will cross the finish line first every year, and we want the triathletes to improve themselves,” said one of the organizers.


This big event also recruited volunteers from all around Taiwan, who were assigned to do different jobs during the competition.



“I was so lucky to see them finish the race,” said Mr. Chen, one of the volunteers. “It's really touching when they reach the finish line.”

The next Challenge Taiwan triathlon will be held on April 27 to 28, 2019.


“What we want to bring to everyone is a combination of the joyful atmosphere of family and life,” said the organizer. “We will see you next year at Challenge Taiwan.”
